The Student Government Association of Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) provides students a voice in University governance and helps to enhance the overall student experience at ENMU. Student Government is comprised of three branches: the executive branch, the legislative branch and the judicial branch.
The executive branch is led by the student body president and is comprised of other executive officials and directors. The legislative branch is led by the student body vice president (president of student senate) and is comprised of their legislative cabinet and student senate. The judicial branch is led by the chief justice and is comprised of other justices and support staff.
Student Body President
I am a graduate student going into the second year of my master's program. I have graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a minor in coaching. I am from Friona, Texas, where I graduated from Friona High School in 2013.
Here at Eastern, I have been involved in athletics, Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) and the Student Government Association. I was a thrower for the Track & Field team, president of SAAC, and vice president for KDP.
During my time with the Student Government Association, I have been student body vice president 2018-2019, a senator for the College of Education and Technology, as well as the coordinator of Homecoming 2017 and Mud Volleyball 2018. I am currently a graduate assistant for the Track & Field program where I have gotten the opportunity of coaching the throwers on the team.
I decided to join student government because of my love for Eastern, and my love for helping others. I look forward to putting my leadership skills into play and being the leader Eastern has helped me become. During my time as vice president, I had the opportunity to learn and grow as a leader and am excited to now serve as the student body president, to be the voice of all ENMU students.
I plan on always having an open-door policy; I hope that encourages students to contact me for anything.

I am a junior undergraduate student majoring in criminal justice with a minor in psychology. I’m from Albuquerque, New Mexico, graduating in spring 2017 from Albuquerque Public Schools with three years of law and three years of mock trial education.
At Eastern, I’ve worked for the Department of Public Safety (ENMU DPS) and served on the Parking Fines Appeals Board. I involved myself in Pre-Law Club and was chief justice of the Student Government Association Supreme Court. As a student government constituent, I committed to Homecoming, Eastern in Action and Mud Volleyball.
I am honored to serve as student body vice president, to voice comments or concerns of students.
