What's new in the Emergency Management Systems (EMS)Program?
This academic year has seen the program double in size. At the start of the Spring 09 semester there were 25 students enrolled in either the BBA or BAAS degree program. EMS students are currently employed full-time in emergency service positions throughout the United States and Canada. Articulation agreements are currently being discussed with South Plains Community College, Fitch & Associates/American Ambulance Association, and PIMA College.
The EMS Management Program had its first National Advisory Board Meeting in October, 2008. There is overwhelming support from the emergency services community in New Mexico as well as national support for ENMU's EMS program.
