ENMU Pitcher Presents to International Business Conference

On Thursday, March 19 ENMU baseball pitcher Justin Cotten led off the 2009 Business, Society and Government (BSG) Consortium's annual conference program. The BSG Consortium was part of the 45th annual MBAA International Conference held at the Drake Hotel in Chicago, Ill. More than 750 people attended the international conference this year.
During fall 2008, Cotten won the College of Business Research Contest. The prize was an all-expense paid trip to Chicago to present his paper as part of the MBAA International Conference. Cotten's paper was titled "What Standards of Social Responsibility Should an American Company Follow When Doing Business in a Developing Nation?"

Accounting Students Volunteer to Prepare Income Tax Returns
Seven accounting students supervised by Dr. Mercedes Agogino and Ira Kaye Frashier, Accounting instructor, volunteered their time to prepare tax returns for Portales low income residents and students. More than 200 returns were prepared.
Students Internships
The College of Business in addition to providing classroom instruction for student learning, actively promoted
practical business instruction. In spring 2009, eleven students received college credit for completing
