Accounting and Finance Club

Membership in the Accounting and Finance Club is open to any business student who has taken an accounting or finance class. Junior and senior accounting majors also have a membership in the New Mexico CPA Society.
The club met monthly, generally with either a guest speaker or a field trip, emphasizing practical applications of accounting and finance.

The accounting club also attended State of the Profession Day at the New Mexico CPA Society and toured the Albuquerque Office of KPMG (one of the top four CPA firms in the world).Two accounting students received scholarships at the luncheon, Mark Van Nieuwkoop and Jennifer Heredia.

On Oct. 28, 2008, 14 business students and Ms. Ira Kaye Frashier, Accounting Club sponsor, toured Sunland Peanuts in Portales. During the visit the President and CFO of Sunland discussed inventory control, sales and the manufacturing processes. Mark V


Delta Mu Delta

Delta Mu Delta was established in 1913 to recognize students in accredited business schools for high academic achievement in a bachelor's or master's degree program. Over the last 95 years, Delta Mu Delta has grown to its current membership of more than 200 active chapters with more than 105,000 individual members.

Dr. Bill Brunsen, who sits on the six-member Delta Mu Delta National Advisory Board, is the primary faculty sponsor for the organization at ENMU

ENMU's Gamma Omega Chapter of Delta Mu Delta, international honor society in business administration, inducted eight new members on Nov. 14, 2008. Membership is by invitation only to top academic performing business students.delta

New inductees were Silver Skinner-Brown, Carla Fisher, Jason Goolsby, Krystal Purcella, Liang Qing, Karla Van Der Ploeg, Leslie Weber and Qi Zhu. President Steven Gamble spoke at the ceremonies, which were presided over by Amelia Christensen chapter president, and Martinus Van Nieuwkoop chapter vice president.

There were 14 spring, 2009 inductees: Brittany Amador, Kim Anaya, Brianna Darnell, Antje Desilets, Patricia Desoto, Jonathan Gallegos, Matthew Hall, Jaye Hollinger, Jessica Huff, Susan Irby, Guy Kcholi, Karen Lowery, Katrina Rael, and Jennifer Telles. Dr. Jaimie Laurenz, Vice President of Academic Affairs spoke at the induction ceremonies.

Marketing Club

Hospitality Club

The Hospitality Club got a behind-the-scenes tour of the up-scale Buffalo Thunder Hilton Resort, outside of Santa Fe, on March 20–21, 2009. Drs. Chris Taylor and Michael Snipes accompanied ten students
