University Service:
I serve on one university committee, the University Computer and Technology Committee and three College of Business committees, the COB Marketing Committee, the COB Outreach Committee, and the CIS Curriculum Committee. I have been activly involved with the development of several new applications that are currently being used in our CIS 151 and CIS 351 classes. I was part of a two member team who researched, tested , and recommended the implementation of SAM ProGrader and SAM CaseGrader into our CIS 151 and CIS 351 classes. This new technology allows students to upload their homework assignments into these databases and the database grades and checks for any student that share homework files. This new technolgy has eliminated cheating and plagiarism on all homework assignments. Most important, these new applications teach the student how to multi-task between varoius applications and systems making them better computer users. In addition, I am currently involved in finding, researching, testing, and recommending a challenge exam that will test the computer literacy and Microsoft Office literacy. of a student entering ENMU. I have also been actively involved, along with other CIS faculty members, in developing a new BS degree in Information Technology for the College of Business. Also, I am currently auditing ELED/SED 593 (Computer Network Technology) which is an online course here at ENMU to help my own professional development. Furthermore, I have start a rigorous study effort that hopefully will result in me obtaining my Misrosoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification. This project will take me a couple of years to complete, but once completed, it will advance my personal professional development and help me be a better teacher here at ENMU. I also have my Microsoft Office Specialist (MOUS) certification.

Public Service (civic, community service):
I am a member of the local Portales Rotary International Club and have participated in several local fund raising events. Rotary International is a service organization that provides a variety of services to both the local community and to the world that is second to none. My participation in this organization has allowed me to meet and socialize with many community leaders. I am also a member of Delta Mu Delta.
